Applications in Process
A number of tribes are currently in the process of applying for after acquired lands for gaming and non-gaming purposes. This section lists some of the past as well as present controversial proposals. This section provides examples of local, state and federal responses in scoping hearings, as well as comments on DEIS and FEIS documents by affected parties participating in the process. - A 2004 Tribal State Compact was ratified by the legislature and appears on the Compact page. This compact is being challenged by the County of Amador as not meeting the legal threshold of IGRA.
