Public gets chance to chime in on plans for large casino in Churn Creek Bottom

The city of Redding has questions about the Redding Rancheria’s ambitious plan to build a destination gaming center on Churn Creek Bottom property just off Interstate 5.

On Tuesday, the City Council will be asked to weigh in on the project by submitting comments via a letter from Mayor Julie Winter on the 5,000-plus page draft environmental impact statement.


The proposed casino’s economic and traffic impacts and aesthetics are among the issues the city raises.
