Spotlight 29 Casino history:

1995: Opened the 100,000-square-foot casino

2001: Teamed up with Donald Trump to operate the venture as Trump 29 Casino

2006: Cut ties with Trump and reclaimed its original name, logo and marquee

2007: Broke ground on the $34 million parking structure and $100 million hotel

2008: Begins to study the prospect of opening a second, Nüwü Casino Resort & RV Park on a corner of the tribe's 160-acre reservation near Joshua Tree National Park

2009: Construction is completed on the parking structure, as Spotlight 29 Casino is expanded to almost 250,000 square feet of gaming for up to 2,000 slots, plus office, meeting, conference, dining and entertainment space. Hotel construction was sidelined due to the economy.
