Darrell Mike, tribal chairman of the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians, on Monday introduced a new general manager for Spotlight 29 Casino.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tom Sedlock in his new role as general manager,” Mike said in a statement. “Tom's experience and knowledge of this casino are tremendous assets.”

Sedlock brings more than 20 years of experience to the post.
Starting at Spotlight 29 Casino in 1995, he brings more than 20 years of casino experience to the general manager position. As director of slots, Sedlock built the casino floor from 72 machines to more than 1,000 slots within the first year.
Sedlock, originally from Ravenna, Ohio, is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. Before moving to California, he helped manage a family vending machine business. He worked for a beer and wine distributor and owned a nightclub.

Sedlock, whose post was announced after serving as acting general manager for a 90-day period, said he looks forward to working side-by-side with the directors on the property and members of the tribe. He replaces Robert Poull, who resigned to be with family in another state.

“I have seen and been a part of the tremendous growth and expansion,'' Sedlock said in a statement.

“I plan to continue to push forward and help Spotlight 29 become more visible within our community, our customers, and the gaming industry.”
