Man arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on Tule Reservation

A man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of stabbing another man with a knife during a physical altercation on the Tule Indian Reservation east of Porterville, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
Suspect Larry Garfield, 32, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim, Marwin McDarment, 32, was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno where he was treated and released for a stab wound to his neck, police said.
The assault was reported at 4:15 p.m. Thursday on the 500 block of South Reservation Road.
