A second suspect in the Jan. 1 shooting death of Mark Andrew Walker was apprehended Monday night at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley.
Joseph A. Resvaloso, 19, a Soboba Tribe member, was arrested at the medical center while seeking treatment for a bullet wound to his left hand. Sheriff's Department officials would not comment on how Resvaloso was shot or how they came about finding him.
With deputies watching, Resvaloso received treatment for the wound and was then released to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. He was then booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
Earlier Monday, investigators with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department had obtained a murder warrant for Resvaloso.
Walker, 41, was found shot to death in his truck, which was parked on Castille Canyon Road on the Soboba Indian Reservation.
Last week, another suspect, Gordon David Arres, 21, also a Soboba Tribe member, was pursued by police in a 75-minute high-speed chase that went through San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
The chase ended when Arres surrendered after his truck ran out of gas in the Indian Canyon area of the Soboba Reservation.
Since Thursday, Arres has been held at California Institution for Men in Chino for violating his parole.
