BEAR RIVER CASINO HOTEL
AND EXPANSION PROJECT
The Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria (Tribe) proposes to construct a four-story hotel with sub-grade parking on reservation lands in Humboldt County California. Expansion of the existing Bear River Casino building surface parking facilities and water and wastewater infrastructure are also proposed as part of the project. An Environmental Evaluation (EE) has been prepared consistent with the Tribe's Environmental Policy Ordinance for Gaming Facility Development and the Tribal-State Gaming Compact Section 10.8. This EE assesses the potential for off-Reservation environmental impacts as a result of the casino hotel and expansion project.
As part of the Tribe's environmental review process this document is available for review by members of the public regulatory agencies and other interested parties for the 30-day period between August 19 2009 and September 18 2009. A public meeting will be held on September 3 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Tribal Community Building 27 Bear River Drive Loleta CA 95551 to receive comments on the project. All comments made during the public review period will be considered by the Bear River Tribal Council in determining how to proceed with the proposed project.
