NICE -- Reports of fights inside of Robinson Rancheria Casino on Saturday at about 4:30 p.m. prompted California Highway Patrol (CHP), Lake County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) and Lakeport Police Department (LPD) to respond.
Callers indicated that as many as 40 people were involved in a physical altercation. The first fight was reportedly inside the rancheria conference hall with approximately 10 people involved. Two more fights were reported by callers saying there were 30 to 40 people involved.
When law enforcement arrived, most of the parties were gone, according to Capt. James Bauman, public information officer for the LCSO. Witnesses told law enforcement that two men were hit in the head by one other man.
All involved declined medical attention. No arrests were made at the scene and the case has been forwarded to the Lake County District Attorney's Office.
