Paradise Casino will soon undergo a major renovation project that will range from new slot machines to fresh carpet and paint.
The Quechan Indian Tribe announced the renovation plans Thursday.
“We're very excited to announce that we will be undertaking a complete interior renovation at Paradise Casino,” said Keeny Escalanti Jr., the casino's assistant general manager.
The project, which will continue through mid-October, will focus on the casino's interior and adjoining Sharky's Bar and Bites. It will include everything from installing new and updated slot machines, to bringing in new chairs, laying new carpet and applying fresh paint.
Officials with the casino, which is owned by the Quechan tribe, declined to reveal how much the renovation will cost. This is the biggest renovation since the casino opened in August 1996, but portions have been spruced up along the way.
Escalanti said the improvements are intended to be functional, as well as aesthetic. The new casino floor layout will effectively remove the existing raised center floor to create a better flow, provide easier access and enhance safety for casino patrons, according to a news statement from the tribe.
“All of the planned changes are being made to enhance the overall gaming experience at Paradise. The installation of our new slots, the more comfortable chairs and upgraded slot management system, which will also include more promotions, were all done for our customers,” Escalanti said.
