A theft investigation Saturday at Pechanga Casino led to the arrest of an Oceanside man and a wanted felon from Fallbrook ---- both of whom were allegedly carrying loaded guns, authorities said.
Security officials at the casino on the Pechanga Indian Reservation called Riverside County sheriff's deputies at 6 a.m. to say they had taken a theft suspect prisoner, Sgt. Will Edwards wrote in a report released Saturday.
Deputies detained the suspect, who was later identified as 42-year-old Thomas Paul Allen of Oceanside, authorities said.
The other suspect, later identified as David Alan Roll, 49, of Fallbrook, walked up as deputies were investigating, authorities said.
Roll struggled to escape as deputies tried to detain him and a loaded gun fell out of his waistband, Edwards said. A deputy suffered minor injuries in the struggle.
Roll was wanted for arrest on weapons and explosives charges, Edward said.
Roll and Allen were booked into the Southwest Detention Center, according to jail records.
Roll is suspected of carrying a loaded gun in public, having a switchblade, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to jail records. Bail was set at $75,000.
Allen is suspected of carrying a loaded gun in public, according to jail records. He was released on $5,000 bail.
