Deputies make arrests at Pechanga

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies on Saturday arrested two men at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula following a theft report.


Deputies charged Thomas Allen, 43, of Oceanside with possession of a loaded firearm. David Roll, 49, of Fallbrook was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded or concealed firearm and resisting arrest. Roll is a convicted felon and is wanted is San Diego on charges of weapons and explosives violations, deputies said.


Deputies went to the casino to investigate a previously reported theft, according to a written statement. Casino security officers had detained Allen.
Deputies later met Roll, who tried to run from them, officials said. They arrested Roll after struggle with him, deputies said. They found a loaded firearm that fell from Roll’s waistband during the struggle, officials said.

An unidentified deputy who suffered minor injuries during the struggle was treated at a local hospital and released.
