Stand Up For California! will demonstrate in this letter, none of the narrow exceptions of 25 U.S.C. Section 2719 including the “restored lands” exceptions is applicable to the Guidiville Indian Rancheria request. The Guidiville Indian Rancheria has its historical, archeological, geographical and cultural roots at the Guidiville Rancheria, located in Talmage, Mendocino County, near Highway 101, South of Ukiah, in California, approximately 110 miles from the proposed casino site.
