July 1, 2009: Dept. of Interior/BIA to hold Tribal Consultation Hearings
The consultation is in keeping with Interior's commitment on government to government consultation with Tribes. However, a fix to the Carcieri v. Salazar U. S. Supreme Court Ruling impacts more than just tribes, it impacts states, local governments and the surrounding community of citizens to tribal lands.
